Concert in Cheverly: Music at School benefit series

The concert plan in Cheverly has been simmering down thanks to people at Weekday Nursery/Mother’s Day Out and Cheverly United Methodist Church. My daughter, Hinna, attends Mother’s Day Out and loves her school activities, her friends, and her teachers (Ms. Tamai and Ms. Harder) there. The connection helped realize this event. This event is unique in these points: it is kids-friendly classical music concert, it could provide an opportunity for alumni to get together as well as welcomes people across all walks of life, could raise funds for the schools, and could enrich the cultural aspect of this community.

Here is the detailed information for the concert.

This beautiful flier was created by Kathryn Andrews who is an artist in Cheverly. She was (is) also an opera singer. She develops/maintains/writes/edits webpages and does other artistic work. She also painted the school’s hallway walls with a lot of cute bugs, flowers, birds, and animals that our kids love very much. Check out these webpages that she developed: WDN/MDO and Cheverly Community Market.

Fifth Piece "Everything's just flowing"

Everything that surrounds us is transitory and is changing/flowing constantly. Not only the tangible but the intangible also changes. If everything flows, let’s enjoy it with upbeat and fun music!

KORUS - Korean Festival in the USA

Yoshimi Kadota (Soprano) and I were invited to have a stage at a Korean festival – KORUS on 9/27 and 9/28. The festival was hosted by the Korean-American Association of the Washington Metropolitan Area. It was estimated that some 70,000 people would come to the festival over 2 days. On both days, we performed our music pieces.

Yoshimi Kadota sang a Korean’s favorite song, Kuriun Kumgang san, gracefully.
